Just Say No….To Waiting Lists! (New Class Times for Basic Skills)

It’s simple enough to type “Kids Martial Arts Near Me” into the Google search bar when trying to find a martial arts school in the Newcastle and surrounding  area that teaches primary schoolers .

And while there are a lot of great choices in town, SOLO KID’S Studio is also the easy choice when it comes to age-specific early childhood development programs that use martial arts as the vehicle for accelerating a child’s physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development.

Because so many people have been choosing to bring their children to our kids martial arts classes, many of our sessions end up having waiting lists.

You see, we maintain very strict student to instructor ratios in order to be able to provide the best level of service in an environment that is fun, and educational. Once classes are full, that’s it; no more students can be placed. It’s all about what is best for the kids, and smaller classes with high levels of connection are what we believe is best.

Basic Skill, a martial arts program designed from the ground up specifically for the developmental needs of kids between the ages of 4,5 and 6 years, is one of our most popular programs, and often has waiting lists months long. (Yes, people actually wait that long to be a part of what we do.)

So, we have decided that, since we can’t put any more kids into our current classes, we will be opening a new class time for this amazing program.

The new classes will be held on Mondays 4.30pm, Wednesdays 4.30pm. This class time is ideal for families that have a parent who stays home with the kids, who have grandparents who are engaged in the children’s lives, or whose schedules allow a bit more flexibility in their hours.

Why are classes so early?

It’s science and math. Kids at this age tend to need 12 hours or so of sleep. If mom and dad need to get out of the house by 8am, then the child needs to be in bed by 7:30pm. We also know that a child takes two or more hours for their minds and emotions to wind down from intense activity, such as all of the powerful learning and fun experienced in a SOLO KIDS martial arts class (this is actually a very important time as the child is also pondering and integrating the lessons learned.) That means the primary /preschool child needs to be done with class no later than 5:30pm in order to meet the minimum time limits for a good night’s sleep. Make sense?
